This is a relatively straightforward customizing of AMT's Road Block Pro Street Police Car. I had the stickers left over from a Revell-Monogram Taxi/Fire Chief Caprice kit, and thought I could put them to work here.
I started by sanding off all of the "Pro Sheriff" graphics, until I was left with a plain shell. I added the stock sideview mirrors from the Caprice kit, then painted the whole thing with a Plasti-Kote Toyota yellow. After the car was dry, I added the taxi stripes and stickers, window trim, and other kit details. The head and taillights were covered in Bare-Metal foil, and the grill was finished with a wash of india ink.
