Cool Fact

Although similar in appearance, the 1963 Grand Sports shared no body parts with production cars: the fiberglass on the Grand Sports was only about half as thick to save weight.

This was a straight buildup of Testors metal body kit. Although it is a relatively small and inexpensive kit, the detail is very well done. Nearly all of the body trim was made of seperate pieces, and showed a high level of detail & accuracy.

The kit was molded in color, so little more than touch-up work was required. This included the wheel & trim detail, interior, and chassis (no engine was provided, despite the hood being a seperately cast piece). The car is soon going to be included in a small diorama scene with another Corvette GS.
