What Evil Drives...

This has been one of the most difficult projects I've ever had to explain to people. Conversations usually went something like this:
"What are you building now?"
"The Car"
"Well, yeah - but what's it from?"
"The Car"
"What?"
"The Car. It's the car used in the movie The Car."
It sounded like the old Who's on First? routine, but it wasn't a joke. I must've had this conversation at least half a dozen times over the last couple of months with both friends and fellow modelers. Apparently the old James Brolin movie isn't well-known enough for most people to remember. Then again, it could just be marketing - nobody forgets Christine, so maybe The Car Just needed a better name.
Although it got a bad name, at least Planet X made sure the kit was pretty good. You can see the finished model here.
