After building both the military and sports versions of the Mechatro WeGo kits, I kind of figured I was done with them for a bit. I enjoy the build process and the finished models, but the kits often had such short production runs that it was easy to miss the window for buying them and I didn't feel the need to chase down the variants I missed. But if one essentially falls in my lap while I'm buying other stuff? And it's on sale? Well, that's different.

I liked my earlier idea that the WeGo sports models had lighter plastic panels, so once again the body remains mostly unpainted. I did address the usual spots like the eyes, wrist bands, taillights, and shoes. In a first - at least in my experience with these kits - there were no chrome parts for the shoulder and hip joints. This didn't look right to me, so I added circles of BMF and polished them to a high shine.

My only other change from previous builds was an attempt to get rid of the joints between the inner and outer panels on the thighs and shoulders. I flooded the joints with liquid glue, then clamped them to force a good strong bond. Once they were set, I sanded and polished them to create a (mostly) seamless appearance. It wasn't 100% effective, but close enough to call it a win.
