Having provided music for titles including Drive, The Lincoln Lawyer, Gran Turismo, GTA, and Midnight Club, Kavinsky's music has been frequently associated with cars and driving. His debut album, OutRun was even titled after the 1986 Sega racing game and featured his own Ferrari Testarossa in the videos for "Testarossa Autodrive," "Dead Cruiser," "ProtoVision," and "Odd Look." Finding myself with a Bburago Testarossa already painted the appropriate red (purchased as part of the same lot that got me the Rendez-Vous 275 GTB), I got to work adding some extra details.

This one was actually in pretty decent shape - in need of a good cleaning, but nothing was broken or missing. I disassembled it and cleaned everything in Dawn dish soap, and polished out the few scuff marks in the roof and hood. I then painted the window frames, cowl vent, grille, and spacers in the side vents. The interior was completely redone in Model Master's Modern Desert Sand and satin black.

The wheels were the only real change I made. Bburago used a set of small single-bolt star wheels - the same wheels they used on the Porsche 959 - but the various videos generally showed bigger five-bolt wheels. I went with a set from Hasegawa's 328GTS, which looked pretty close. The axles and wheels were both pin connectors, so to mount them I simply trimmed the axles back a little and made sleeves out of plastic tubing that could fit over both pins.

The last details were a chrome Ferrari badge for the back deck, and a custom "KVNSKY" license plate.
