It's a Nice Day for a Whitewall Wedding
Saturday, December 15. 2007
Truth be told, I wasn't really a huge fan of Monster Garage. The projects were generally pretty cool, but the attitudes and "soap opera" moments were often a bit much. Fortunately, there were some truly excellent episodes like "Old School Chevy" and "Army Tractor Pull" that showed what could be done with a great team.
I'd bought the set of three 1/24 MG kits back when they came out, and kept them for a day when I either felt like doing some scratchbuilding/detailing, or I felt like a quick slam-together. The latter came first, as I wanted to take a break from body work, filler, and paint after finishing the recent holiday auction cars. The result of this one-day buildup, the Chevy Suburban Wedding Chapel, is available here.
