Mega Bloks Halo® and Call of Duty® Signature Series set reveals & exclusive giveaways at Mega Bloks Booth #3351

MONTREAL and SAN DIEGO, July 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Mega Bloks® is offering exciting Halo® and Call of Duty® set reveals and limited edition exclusive giveaways at this year's San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).

The Call of Duty Signature Series Hovercraft is making its world premiere this week at the Mega Bloks booth #3351. Collectors can preview the highly authentic and intricate 2,700-piece amphibious military vessel along with select Fall sets that include all-new characters, weapons and vehicles. Fans, ages 17 and up, will also have the opportunity to take home an event exclusive Call of Duty Gold Astronaut micro action figure.

One of the most exciting additions to the Halo line is the micro action figure that features augmented pose-ability and inter-changeable armor for enhanced customization. Visitors to the Mega Bloks booth can get their hands on one of these all-new Halo figures and take home a limited edition Cyan Mark VI event exclusive by participating in one of the many on-site activities.

Today, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Frank O'Connor and Andy 'Bravo' Dudynsky, from 343 Industries will be at the Mega Bloks booth autographing limited edition Halo posters. Fans can also visit the Xbox Lounge in the Manchester Grand Hyatt hotel (1 Market Place) to take photos with the seven-foot tall Mega Bloks UNSC Mantis, which features over 200,000 blocks, lights and robotic movement.

Fans are invited to the Mega Bloks booth to take part in the action and visit the make-and-take station where they can create a one of a kind SDCC souvenir. The best builds will be recognized and rewarded throughout the day with even more giveaways of Fall Halo and Call of Duty sets.

Meet the Speed Breed

From the very beginning of auto racing, movies have made use of actual footage to fill out their run times. It's a great way to create a track full of competitive driving without spending the film's budget on stunt cars and drivers for a few seconds worth of wide shots. The only problem, though, is that our protagonist's car has to match something that has plenty of footage, and actual races tend to focus on the drivers who are out in front. This leads to somewhat awkward scenes for race fans, who notice things like Frankie Avalon driving around with Richard Petty's car on a trailer. In the case of Red Line 7000, James Caan seems to have stolen Fred Lorenzen's ride.
