Included will be several rare or one of a kind vehicles, such as the 1937 Delahaye 145 “Million Franc” race car, a 1948 Tucker, a 1936 Stout Scarab, and a 1986 Oldsmobile Aerotech. Reel Rides Update: Scale Issues Addressed

The Reel Rides cars have begun to hit stores, but the reviews have been mixed. The biggest complaint seems to be that the scale of the 1/64 cars is inconsistent (for example, the Porsche could comfortably fit in the bed of a Chevy C10...it's a small car, but not that small).

Well, the folks at RR have heard the comments. From their latest newsletter:

"You asked for it and you got it. Some of our observant collectors noticed our 1:64 scale cars were slightly larger than normal. We appreciate the feedback and will convert all future releases to the REAL 1:64 scale."

Kudos to RR for taking the advice of fans to heart and using it to improve their product. Now, I'll just have to see how they do with their 1/24 scale line...

Ouch - Redline's budget just went up a bit...

IRWINDALE, California (AP) -- Eddie Griffin crashed a rare Ferrari Enzo worth $1.5 million into a concrete barrier while practicing at a racetrack Monday, destroying the car but escaping uninjured.

The comedian was practicing for a charity race to promote his upcoming film, "Redline," when he drove too fast around a curve at the Irwindale Speedway. Video footage showed the red sports car screeching before it ricocheted off the barrier with heavy damage to its front.
